"Raising happy, healthy, grass fed critters"
The Steward Sustainable Farm was established by Colton Melo, a 14 year old third generation farmer, who is passionate about raising food the old-fashioned way. The farm is located in California’s Central Valley, outside of Turlock. The farm offers free range, pasture raised eggs, pastured poultry, grass fed beef, pastured pork and pastured turkeys.
As a steward of the land, The Steward Sustainable Farm strives to connect locally grown food with the community through regenerative methods that are environmentally sustainable.
EGGS & POULTRY
Committed to exceeding industry standards, their chickens are routinely rotated to ensure a fresh, clean environment and to provide their natural omnivore diet of insects, worms and grass, in addition to locally grown grain. Eggs are laid by hens that have 24/7 access to green pasture, fresh air and sunshine. They are able to roam about, scratching and getting an assortment of seeds, grasses and bugs. All this makes a huge difference in the nutritional quality of the egg you are eating. The meat chickens are raised in the same manner, always having access to fresh green grass, bugs and lots of fresh air and sunshine.

BEEF & PORK
The cows and pigs at The Steward Sustainable Farm are all raised on pasture, with access to natural forage and plenty of sunshine. This makes their meat much more nutritious, easier to digest and much tastier too! The farm uses rotational grazing to make sure these animals always have access to high quality grasses, while also making sure that the land is regenerated.

How To Order
Each week, our CSA Members will receive an email with what's in their produce share for the week, recipes and a product list from The Steward Sustainable Farm.
When we have extra produce and/or flowers to share, our Virtual Farmstand subscribers will also receive an email with a list of produce/flowers available and a product list from The Steward.
If you'd like to add on eggs or meat products, please follow these steps:
Respond to the email with what eggs and/or meat products you would like by Tuesday afternoon
We will then invoice you for these extra products
Payment must be received by Wednesday so we can get your order to The Steward for their Thursday delivery.
CSA MEMBERS: Your extra products will be added to your box, which you will pickup on Friday at our farm.
VIRTUAL FARMSTAND SUBSCRIBERS: You can pick up your meat/eggs at our farm on Fridays, or wait until you pick up your produce/flower orders (Saturdays- Mondays).
