Six:Eight Coffee Roasting
We're very excited to be teaming up with our friends Jake & Chelsea, to be able to offer their fresh, organic, farm gate certified coffee to our farm members and virtual farmstand subscribers!
Read more about the family and their company down below.
"Our mission is simple: to serve others well and provide quality coffee to all."
Six:Eight Coffee is a family owned and operated micro roaster in Turlock. They offer responsibly sourced, freshly roasted coffee to the community. Co-owners, husband and wife duo, Jake & Chelsea Giffen, roast coffee out of their home kitchen every week.
They only use farm gate certified beans, which means the coffee farmers that are supplying these beans are directly negotiating for prices. Farm gate prices for farmers average 50% above fair trade pricing, which is wonderful for these small coffee farmers.
When you enjoy Six Eight's coffee you know you're getting ethical, locally roasted, fresh beans. And you know you're supporting other small farmers across the world!
Their name (Six:Eight) is inspired by Micah 6:8, that proclaims:
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Eternal Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God."
When Jake and Chelsea are not roasting, packing, sampling, or delivering coffee, you can find them out and about in Turlock with their lively kiddos. Spot them treasure hunting at a thrift store, stocking up on books at the library, or sharing a nacho at their favorite Mexican restaurant.

How To Order
Each week, our CSA Members will receive an email with what's in their produce share for the week, recipes and a reminder that they can add on a 10oz bag of Six:Eight Coffee's organic coffee beans. You can select whole bean or ground.
When we have extra produce and/or flowers to share, our Virtual Farmstand subscribers will also receive an email with a list of produce/flowers available and the option to order coffee.
If you'd like to add on a bag of organic coffee, please follow these steps:
Respond to the email with how many bags you would like (whole bean or ground) by Tuesday afternoon.
We will then invoice you for these extra products.
Payment must be received by Wednesday so we can get your order to Six:Eight for their Thursday delivery.
CSA MEMBERS: Your extra products will be added to your box, which you will pickup on Friday at our farm.
VIRTUAL FARMSTAND SUBSCRIBERS: You can pick up your coffee at our farm on Fridays, or wait until you pick up your produce/flower orders (Saturdays- Mondays).
